Going Private

Now that I've finally updated my blog for the past 6 months, I think it's time to go private. I'm really careful about not putting any identifying information on my blog, but I think it'd be best to take the extra step of caution. I'll probably make the change mid-April, so email me if you'd like an invitation. I know it's a pain, but I'll try to send periodic email updates when I update the blog.

More warm weather, please!

We met up with Jen, Gracie and Charlie for some fun time at the park. Alex and Charlie were immediately into mischief putting woodchips on the slide.

I like that I'm taking a picture of Alex heading down the slide head-first rather than helping him out. And judging from the picture below, Alex is wondering why I'm standing there with a camera in my hand instead of making sure he doesn't do a face plant.

Future Photographer

Jack has become our resident photographer. It started with our trip to Bryce Canyon in February. He always wants control of the camera. Here are some recent gems.

This one is actually pretty impressive.

It seems that most of his shots are from the waist down.

Big Boy!

Alex started taking a few steps here and there mid-February, but he really took off at the beginning of March. Now he's a walking maniac. And you can see that he'll make a great Boy Scout. Always prepared with a binky in the mouth and one in each hand.

Cute Cousins

We had some nice weather a couple of weeks ago, so we met up with Amy and James at Farm Country. Jack and James had a blast running around together. Poor Alex was relegated to the stroller and there aren't even any pictures to prove he was there :(

Although they had a blast looking at the animals, I think they most enjoyed driving their toy cars up this hill by the stores. They kept making trades with their cars, and surprisingly shared very well.

Bryce Canyon 2010

We went to Bryce Cayon over President's Day Weekend. It's been a family tradition for many years, but it's been a few years since we've gone. We were thrilled to have Tiffany come with us. We had a blast and I know the boys had a lot more fun with her there!

There was a ton of snow and we had beautiful weather. We got to do some cross-country skiing. Even Jack got to take a turn, but unfortunately JP didn't have the camera when he took him out. Oh well, while it's nice to capture the memories, sometimes it's more fun to make memories without a camera in your face the whole time.

Happy 1st Birthday, Alex!

We celebrated Alex's first birthday a couple of days early as his birthday fell on a Monday this year. We had a family party for him, and we had a great time. Sometimes I have a hard time with Blogger and I couldn't get the pictures in the correct order, but oh well.

This is really the messiest Alex got with his cake. I thought he would go after it a lot more than he did, but that's okay. I was glad to not have a baby running on sugar high after and a huge mess to clean up.

Here's the train cake. It's a K family tradition. I think Julie started the train cakes at least 20 years ago.

Jack really wanted to help Alex open his presents. He was sweet about bringing all of his toys to him.

We love you Alex Bug! The last year having you in our family has been so wonderful. We love your smile and smiley eyes, and your tenacity to get what you want :)

Random Fun in January

Alex usually wakes up from his afternoon nap before Jack does. While we have a good time playing, the time always comes where Alex is ready for Jack to be up so he can play with him. Here's a picture of Alex trying to wake Jack up.

My good friend Kim planned great Mommy and Me days once a month starting in October to get us all through the winter. I was lucky that I got this shot of Jack with his snowman before it became a snack :)

The kids are having fun with cotton "snow"

Alex's favorite spot anytime he's in the kitchen with me

Happy 3rd Birthday Jack!

Our Jackaroo is three!

And I know his cake wasn't beautiful, but it was made with love, and tasty!

Jack made quick work of all of his fabulous gifts.

He was constantly on the move all morning, and I only got one blurry shot of him blowing out his candles.

We love you Jack. You are a bundle of fun, and you have such a sweet heart. We sure love having you in our family.
