Cute boys

I can't believe how big Jack and Alex are both getting. Love that they're lying in the same position. As always, Alex is a little nervous with Jack that close. Jack has been so sweet lately to Alex, and is much more gentle with him. I can tell Jack is just waiting for Alex to get big enough to play.

Jack climbed right into Alex's bassinet Sunday morning. Good thing Alex wasn't in it

Playing

Alex is liking to play with his toys more. Good thing, this Baby Einstein play gym wasn't cheap ;) And it's also a good thing so I can get things done and he can be happy not being held for a few minutes.

Smiles

I finally got some cute pictures of Alex, and yay, one of him smiling. He actually will do a huge smile, but I haven't been able to catch that one on camera yet. Usually because it's when he's having a bath and I'm fresh out of hands to hold the camera. I really like this one on top though, it's a really sweet smile.

Naps

Jack has been fighting naps lately. He just plays in his room. Today he fell asleep on the floor in his room and woke up crying, probably couldn't figure out why he wasn't in his bed. I went and got him, and then he just crashed on the couch. In fact, he's there right now and that's why I'm able to write this right now. He definitely still needs his naps. Sure hope this is just a phase he's going through :)

Jackanese

Jack, probably like most children, seems to have his own language. For some words he'll just make up his own word and it'll stick. Here are a couple of examples

Jack prefers his milk warm. He also calls milk "Mo" So, he'll ask for a "Hot Mo"

He also enjoys being naked, and naked is "Nay Nay". He always has to show Alex that he's nay nay after his baths at night.

One other cute thing he said the other day isn't really his language, but cute nonetheless. We call Alex "Alex Bug" We were at Costco the other day and I covered Alex's carseat with the blanket. Jack said "Where's the Bug?"

Easter Pictures

I only got one halfway decent picture of Jack in his Easter outfit. I'll have to take more next time he wears it as he looks so handsome.

Our neighborhood playgroup had an Easter Egg Extravaganza. Jack was very interested to see what yummy chocolatey treasures he'd collected. We're still in semi-quarantine until RSV season is over so we didn't stay around for the craft and lunch. I thought Jack was going to throw a fit, but he was fine as long as I kept the chocolate coming.

Jack loves putting buckets on his head. Each time he says
"bucket head". So cute. No, I'm not biased at all.

Grandma and Grandpa F's neighbhorhood had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Jack would try to open each egg he picked up.

So behind....

I've been enjoying everyone else's blogs, but haven't been good about keeping up on mine. I hope to do better, especially as we'll be getting out of the house more and there will be more opportunities for taking pictures!

I had to post this picture because Jack loves having time with Alex. A lot of the time we'll be right there next to him, but sometimes he just wants his own time with Alex. In this picture he had just told JP to sit on the other couch.

Someone found the diaper cream.

JP got a new mountain bike. I think Jack might be more excited about it than JP is. He loves to spin the tires. I think he'd do it all day if we'd let him.

Catching Up

C
Jack and I went to Farm Country with Amy and James. Jack and James had a great time riding on the ponies. Also, it was good to get a picture of Jack and me together as that doesn't happen very often. The weather was so beautiful this week, we really thought spring was here, and then it left as fast as it came.

Cute cousins!

Jack did have his arm under Alex's head right before I took this picture :)

As you can see, there was some napping happening during the second session of General Conference on Saturday
